Cobb Woman Threatens To Blow Up DMV Office: Cops
She said she was just frustrated with having to wait, but officials say any threat on a government building is serious.

MARIETTA, GA — A Cobb County woman was arrested after an explosive outburst at a local Department of Driver Services offices.
WSB-TV reports that Polly Barfield, 53, got frustrated about having to wait at the office in Kennesaw on Tuesday. According to an arrest warrant obtained by the station, she said out loud, "If I had a bomb, I'd blow this place up!"
Cobb County Police told WSB that anyone who makes a violent threat against a government building should expect consequences. They said the threat made other people at the government office fearful for their safety.

Barfield told WSB that she was frustrated, but never had any intention of actually doing anything violent. She noted that she had her children with her at the time.

According to Cobb County Jail records, Barfield was booked Monday on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. She was released on a $4,000 bond.
