Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES Awareness Week October 13-18, 2014

Stop by a Coldwell Banker® office this week to see why we're working even harder than usual!

Our employees and sales associates are collecting bags of healthy food and helping nonprofit organizations through the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES foundation. The fundraising events – from golf tournaments to silent auctions – go on all year, although the intensity increases during Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES Awareness Week, which is October 13-18. Everyone’s invited to join the fun, collect food and help with a community service project this week.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES is holding a food drive to help fill the shelves at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and the 11 Coldwell Banker offices in the Atlanta metro area are serving as collection points. We invite you to visit the branch offices, learn about local market trends and bring a donation of healthy, nonperishable food for your neighbors in need. Check your pantry for a few cans or pick up an extra bag of food while doing your regular grocery shopping.

We’re also taking part in Service Day on Saturday, October 18, and we’ll be volunteering to assist several local charities with a special project. You’re invited to lend a hand, so be sure to ask about the volunteer service projects when you drop off your food at a Coldwell Banker branch office. Service Day projects will benefit the following organizations:
- Chattahoochee Nature Center
- Community Assistance Center
- enAble of Georgia Foundation, Inc.
- Jerusalem House, Inc.
- Mary Hall Freedom House
- North Fulton Community Charities
- The Drake House

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES has raised more than $1.1 million since its inception for more than 275 nonprofit educational, health, welfare, environmental and cultural arts organizations in the Atlanta area.

Last year, the foundation made major donations to The Drake House and sponsored the Safe America Foundation’s Safe Teen Driving Academy. Previously, the foundation sponsored Honor Air, which took veterans on an exciting one-day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit Arlington Cemetery, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and other monuments.

Many sales associates have pledged to make a donation to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage CARES from every closing transaction. By allowing Coldwell Banker to assist you in buying or selling a home, you help create a powerful resource for many local charitable organizations. Contact a local Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office today for information about the food drive or a Service Day event, or for answers to your real estate questions.
