Cumberland Mall to Host Military Appreciation Day

This Saturday, July 25th, Cumberland Mall will host a Military Appreciation Day. The event is hosted by Cumberland Mall, the United States Army and X3 Sports with the intention of providing a family friendly and informative afternoon of entertainment while bringing attention and appreciation to those serving in the Military! The schedule consists of interactive learning experiences, activities for the whole family, prizes and active soldiers on site to answer questions and provide information.

X3 Sports instructors are world class athletes who work side-by-side with the Army’s Special Forces teaching Soldiers an extensive Combatives program in self-defense. The event will provide demonstrations by top athletes and the owner of X3 Sports in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo Muay Tai, wrestling and boxing. The United States Army will hold a pull-up and push-up competition awarding prizes to the competitor with the highest number of reps. Raffles by X3 Sports will also take place.

On top of the demonstrations by the athletes and the competitions and prizes, there will be more than 22 retailers at Cumberland Mall who will offer military discounts to those with a military ID that will range from 10 percent-20 percent. The event begins at 1:00pm and ends at 4:00pm and there will be plenty of opportunities for photo opps and interviews if interested.
