Dallas Man Charged In Marietta Hit-And-Run Of Construction Workers

One worker is recovering and has been released from the hospital while the second worker is in critical condition.

MARIETTA, GA — A Dallas man was arrested Tuesday night in connection with a hit-and-run involving two construction workers Monday near Roswell Road, Marietta Police said Wednesday.

Malik Branch, 23, is charged on suspicion of two counts of serious injury by vehicle, two counts of hit and run, driving under the influence less safe, failure to maintain lane, suspended license, suspended registration, no insurance, no seatbelt and improper equipment, police said. He was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

The Southeast Bridge Florida Corporation construction workers were hit by a car while placing a message board on the roadway, police said.
