Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. The Cobb County Sherriff's Office has announced the funeral services for its two fallen deputies. The funeral for Deputy Jonathan Randall Koleski will be held on Wednesday at NorthStar Church in Kennesaw. Deputy Marshall Samuel Ervin Jr. will have his funeral on Thursday at West Ridge Church in Dallas. The procession routes will be shared soon. (Marietta Patch)
  2. The McCleskey-East Cobb Family YMCA in Marietta is offering one-day free guest passes through Sep. 18. The promotion is for the YMCA's Welcoming Week meant to promote cross-cultural understanding and diversity. For those wanting to join the YMCA during the promotion, joining fees will be waived.   3. The Marietta History Center will be showing "Color My Teacher" through Oct. 1. The series is comprised of historical interviews featuring Black Cobb County educators sharing their stories. The interviews will eventually be available through the Center's YouTube channel. The showings will be Tuesday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (City of Marietta)
