A public memorial for the two deputies sits in front of the Cobb County Sheriff's Office Visitation Center at 1877 County Services Parkway.
During a Friday news conference, Cobb Sheriff’s Foundation founder Robert G. Haley said the nonprofit will assist the families financially and will work to provide scholarships for Ervin’s children.
The sheriff's office warns of scammers "attempting to take advantage of this terrible situation." A Fallen Heroes Fund is available at cobbsheriffsfoundation.org.

Koleski and Ervin died while attempting to arrest Christopher Cook on a failure to appear for theft by deception warrant at the 2400 block of Hampton Glen Court, police said. They were approached by Christopher Golden at the home, who police said refused to put down a gun.
Cobb County Police Chief Stuart VanHoozer said Friday that Cook faces the theft charge while Golden is facing two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of murder.
Both suspects were set to have their first court appearances on Sept. 9.

All state court traffic cases set for Wednesday and Thursday are being rescheduled due to the funerals, according to a county release Monday.
Notifications will be sent to anyone affected by the postponements, county officials said.
