Funeral Procession Details For Slain Cobb Deputy Released

Cobb County deputy Jonathan Koleski's funeral procession is set to leave NorthStar Church in Kennesaw Wednesday afternoon.

MARIETTA, GA — People who want to pay their respects to late Cobb County deputy Jonathan Koleski can do so Wednesday.

The public can stand near Chastain Road and George Busbee Parkway, where fire trucks will hoist a flag, according to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.

Koleski's funeral procession is set to leave NorthStar Church in Kennesaw around 1:30 p.m. as it heads south on Cobb Parkway, then left on Chastain Road, as it makes its way to Interstate-575 North.

Deputies Koleski and Marshall Ervin Jr. died Sept. 8, when authorities said they were shot and killed while serving a warrant at a Marietta home.

Koleski, who was a U.S. Army veteran, will be buried in Georgia National Cemetery.

A funeral for Ervin is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at West Ridge Church, 3522 Hiram Acworth Highway in Dallas. Visitation starts at noon.
