A new report from WalletHub shows Georgia ranks sixth best in the nation in terms of health care costs, lost productivity and premature deaths from smoking.

The Peach State spends $1,263,332 over the lifetime of each smoker, according to the report.

New York spends more than any other state, $2,452,735 per smoker. Louisiana is No. 1, at $1,232,159 per smoker.
