The Goddard School Preschoolers From The Marietta Location Host Successful, Outstanding Book Drive For Charity

Preschoolers Across 27 Goddard School Locations Throughout Atlanta Collect 28,905 Books For Children Read Atlanta

Throughout the entire month of September, preschoolers at The Goddard School (www.goddardschool.com) across 27 locations in Atlanta, GA conducted a charity book drive with the goal of collecting 25,000 books for Children Read Atlanta (http://www.childrenreadatlanta.org/) – a local nonprofit that provides books to low-income families so reading skills can be supported from a very young age. In an outstanding outcome, the children exceeded their goal and collected 28,905 books! This donation is by far the largest number of books the charity has received in its history and will help 5,781 children in low-income households each receive 5 books to enjoy and to build literacy skills.

Throughout the month-long book drive, local VIPs visited the Goddard School locations to read to children and drive excitement for this amazing initiative.

The community was invited to drop off their book donations at their nearest Goddard location. Through this campaign, children learned lessons in charity, cooperation and literacy.
