Husband of Asst. Attorney General Found Shot to Death in East Atlanta
Shahriar Zolfaghari of Mableton is the husband of Camila Wright, a Georgia assistant AG . He was found dead early Wednesday.

ATLANTA, GA -- Police are continuing to investigate the shooting death of the husband of a Georgia assistant attorney general.
Shahriar Zolfaghari, 34, of Mableton, was found shot to death in his car early Wednesday morning at an East Atlanta intersection. Zolfaghari is married to Camilla Wright, who has been in charge of prosecuting human trafficking in Georgia since October 2014.
Zolfaghari is a driver for Lyft, the San Francisco-based mobile ride company.

Atlanta police found Zolfaghari in his car at the interesection of Boulevard and Rankin Street, near Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward, around 1 am Wednesday morning. A witness noticed that Zolfaghari's car didn't proceed through a stop light, and went to check on him. That's when the witness noticed blood in the car and called police.
Two shell casings were found on the scene.

According to the Georgia Attorney General's website, Wright established the Fulton County Human Trafficking Unit within the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
She has developed protocols for investigating and prosecuting human trafficking cases, and has worked with the FBI and other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
While in Fulton County, Wright secured convictions and guilty pleas for 19 traffickers, including two life sentences. She was one of the first prosecutors in the state to successfully convict a buyer, who was sentenced to five years in prison.
