
Marietta Square Art Walk salutes the weekend of Independence Day with America’s music. Art galleries, museums, boutiques and restaurants host jazz musicians and local artists from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3. Enjoy the intown culture and small town charm this Southern city center is known for.
Starting Friday evening, Marietta Square comes alive with activity for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. While Church Street closes to traffic to set up Saturday’s arts and crafts festival, photographers am their lenses at a unique photo shoot at Lenny’s Hair Salon at 95 Church Street. Two hot rods -- a 1960 Cadillac and a 1949 Ford -- create the backdrop for Lenny’s first annual Red, White and Rock-a-Blues event.
Entertainment continues late into the night at a special Art Walk Afterhours at 164 Roswell Street. Jazz and Jokes will feature the music of Sting from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. A block away at the Earl Strand Smith Theatre, a live pianist performs until 11:00 p.m. in the Lumiere Lounge.

At the heart of Art Walk are the visual artists selling their artwork on the sidewalks of Marietta Square. Congratulations to June’s “Best of Show” winner Rebecca Salcedo of Acworth and “People’s Choice” winner Annie Thrasher of Marietta.
Park for free in the parking deck on Cherokee Street, across from the Earl Smith Strand Theatre, as well as the other two parking decks located off of Wad
