Kroger and The Atlanta Women's Foundation Partner for Atlanta's Women and Girls
Starting April 16, 2015, metro Atlanta Kroger stores will begin selling reusable bags at $1 per bag for this important cause.

The Atlanta Women’s Foundation (AWF) and Kroger have partnered together to raise $10,000 for metro Atlanta’s women and girls. Starting April 16, 2015, metro Atlanta Kroger stores will begin selling reusable bags at $1 per bag for this important cause. The funds will support grantmaking, programs, policy, and awareness campaigns for economically vulnerable women and girls in the five metro counties of Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett.
“Kroger is committed to helping the communities we serve,” said Glynn Jenkins, Public Relations Director for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “Part of that commitment is supporting the advancement of women and girls. That’s why we are excited to partner with The Atlanta Women’s Foundation and their efforts to lift women and girls up and out of poverty.”
Kelly Dolan, AWF Executive Director added, “We are grateful to be teaming with Kroger in support of Atlanta’s women and girls. Kroger is a committed partner with deep roots in our community and a long history of giving back. We couldn’t be more thrilled to work with them and on such a critical issue. With 320,000 women and girls living in poverty in metro Atlanta, this is a problem that affects us all.”
