Local artisan launches unique online marketplace with portion of sales benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation - Just in time for Father's Day
Woodstock resident creates Etsy-like site for craftsmen to sell handcrafted home decor made of wood and metal
With Father’s Day quickly approaching, many people are looking for new and unique gift ideas to give dad. How about a unique home accessory for the “man cave” that is good for the environment (it’s made of reclaimed wood) and gives back to the community?
Red Beard Labs has launched its online marketplace aimed at giving talented craftsmen and women an avenue to sell their handcrafted home goods made from wood and metal. Founded by Woodstock, Ga., resident Bronze Denison, Red Beard Labs offers sophisticated household items made from reclaimed wood, recycled metal, old mechanical parts, old industrial parts and other reusable materials - perfect gifts that will make dad feel loved. Six percent of profits from every sale from Red Beard Labs, located at www.redbeardlabs.com, go to Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
“When I initially tried to sell my unique metal creations on Etsy and eBay, I found I was getting lost in the shuffle amongst thousands of other artisans on these sites,” said Denison, “That’s why I created Red Beard Labs. I wanted to give metal fabricators and woodworkers, like myself, a niche avenue for selling goods as well as provide buyers a user-friendly, one-stop-shop for unique household items that are environmentally-conscious.”

Among the variety of one-of-a-kind items are a galvanized towel rack, rustic wood wall clock, reclaimed wood beer caddy, comic book bubble wood coasters, industrial pipe lamp, wall art and wooden serving tray. From decorating a nursery, to adding a rustic touch to the kitchen, to making a man cave more masculine, Red Beard Lab products are a great fit. They also make great gifts for new parents, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and other special occasions.
Buyers can also feel good knowing that their purchase helps grant the wish of children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

“Giving back to the community is very important to me, so I created Red Beard Labs knowing Make-A-Wish Foundation of America would benefit from it,” said Denison. “They are the best fit for us. Red Beard Labs is our dream and to us dreams and wishes feel a lot like the same thing.”
