Man Charged In Marietta Hit-And-Run That Injured Texas Man

Police said the driver left the scene of the accident, did not call 911 or try to help the man that was injured.

MARIETTA, GA — A man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian injured Sunday at Delk Road, Marietta Police said Wednesday evening.

Police said Miguel Bacilio-Marquez has been charged on suspicion of serious injury by vehicle, hit and run, failure to maintain lane and driving on suspended license.

The pedestrian, a 40-year-old Texas man, remained at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The crash took place around 11:45 p.m. at Delk near Interstate 75, where the man was walking along Delk and was hit by a white 1995 Ford F-150. Police said the driver left the scene, did not call 911 or try to help the man.

Bacilio-Marquez was booked into the Cobb County Jail.
