ATLANTA, October 5, 2015 -- Doug Beach and his Marietta family were among more than 35 Turner Construction volunteers working at the Atlanta Food Bank’s Product Rescue Center (PRC) on Saturday, October 3 as part of Hands on Atlanta Day. The family worked to inspect, sort and package donated food for distribution to more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies. Eight-year old Callum worked hard unloading boxes, checking expiration dates and getting the food sorted so it could be weighed for distribution.
“Callum looks forward to volunteering each year,” said Karen Beach. “This summer, he was asking when he would be able to help out again.”
