The ProStart culinary team put on their chef hats and went to work, competing against 14 other high school teams at the annual Georgia ProStart Competition. Sarah Bernknopf, Kadijah Brookes, Sarah Dickerson, Ashley Laster and Kelsey Miller placed fourth in the competition held March 23. MHS Culinary arts teacher Chef Ginger Pratt is the 2012 recipient of the Georgia Restaurant Educator Excellence Award. Pratt will receive the award at the National Restaurant Association convention, compliments of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.  "We are honored by the recognition bestowed on Chef Pratt," said Dr. Tim Brown, Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Director and MHS Assistant Principal. "Her leadership, professionalism and dedication to educational excellence provide our students with qualified, real-world learning experiences."
