Marietta Man Faces Up To Five Life Sentences

MARIETTA, GA -- A man convicted of raping and robbing two Cobb County women in 2013 and 2014 will be sentenced Thursday.

Lemon McMickens was found guilty late Tuesday afternoon, and faces up to five life sentences.

According to the Marietta Police Department, McMickens was charged with rape, kidnapping, aggravated assault and armed robbery of a 19-year-old woman on Feb. 1, 2014. McMickens was also charged in a Sept. 18, 2013, assault of a Smyrna woman.

Police arrested McMickens on Feb. 11, 2014. He was also found to be in possession of stolen electronics, a firearm and illegal narcotics.

Sentencing is set for 2:30 pm on Thursday.
