Marietta Police Arrest Convicted South Carolina Sex Offender
Police say he tried to arrange a meeting with an undercover officer posing as a teenager.
MARIETTA, GA -- Police arrested a convicted South Carolina sex offender on Monday who is accused of soliciting sex from an undercover officer.
The officer was posing as a 14-year-old girl, reports the AJC.
Danny Wayne Long is being held in the Cobb County jail on one count of computer pornography. The 48-year-old Greenville, S.C., resident allegedly set up a meeting at Marietta’s Dave & Buster’s with the officer. Long never showed up at the meeting, but he and the officer then began exchanging text messages of a graphic nature.
