Marietta Woman Dies After Crashing Into Rottenwood Creek

The car landed in Rottenwood Creek after veering from a roadway near Franklin Gateway Sunday.

MARIETTA, GA — A woman whose car veered off of the roadway and landed upside down in Rottenwood Creek Sunday night has died, Marietta police said.

The woman, identified as 25-year-old Allison Harris, died overnight Tuesday from her injuries, police said.

Harris' 2017 Hyundai Elantra crashed around 10 p.m. Sunday near Franklin Gateway before eventually landing in the creek, police said early Tuesday.
