MHS Named 2012 Georgia AP Honor School
Marietta High School was one of 367 schools statewide that were recognized.

For the third consecutive year, has earned recognition as an Advanced Placement Honor School.
MHS was one of 367 schools statewide that earned Georgia Department of Education recognition as an AP Access and Support School based on the results of 2010-2011 AP classes and exams.
“Marietta High School offers two high-level, coursework options—Advanced Placement and the International Baccalaureate Program,” said Dr. Emily Lembeck, Superintendent, in a press release. “This announcement reflects that challenging AP courses are encouraged and available to all interested MHS students.”

Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses are available in English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language and fine arts at Marietta High School.
The Marietta High School International Baccalaureate Program is a four-year comprehensive and rigorous academic program leading to examinations for students in grades nine through 12.
