100 Body Cameras Coming for Cobb County Police
New body cameras will cost $106K. When delivered, half of Cobb's uniformed officers will have cameras.

MARIETTA, GA — Cobb County police will soon be receiving an additional 100 body cameras, thanks to a unanimous vote by the board of commissioners.
The commission voted to spend $106,607 for the cameras and five charging docks, reports CBS 46.
The department currently has 133 body cameras, and with the additional purchase, it will reach 50 percent of its goal to have all 500 uniformed officer equipped with the devices.

The Marietta police department purchased 142 body cameras and 70 in-vehicle cameras from Decatur, GA-based Utility Inc. in April.
