One Dead in Cobb County Motorcycle Crash

Two commercial trucks were also involved in the crash, and police are looking for one of them.

MARIETTA, GA — A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning in a crash at I-75 near Terrell Mill Road.

Police say the rider was traveling northbound on I-75 approaching Terrell Mill Road. According to a witness, a commercial truck encroached into the lane, and as the motorcycle tried attempted to avoid a collision, the cycle's swing arm, which had been improperly repaired or modified, malfunctioned, causing the rider to lose control.

The rider was thrown onto the highway, and was then struck by a tractor-trailer. The rider, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
