Marietta police registry aims to find missing vulnerable adults (fox5atlanta.com) — Marietta police have launched a new Vulnerable Person Registry to help quickly locate residents who are nonverbal or have trouble communicating, especially during emergencies. Caregivers in Marietta can now pre-register loved ones with photos, medical details, and triggers so officers can identify them faster and send timely alerts if they go missing.
   

2. Longest-Resident Shelter Dog Watches Countless Others Leave, Still Waits To Be Chosen (dogtime.com) — Sadie, a one-year-old Pit Bull mix, is the longest-resident dog at Cobb County Animal Services in Marietta after arriving as a stray in early June and watching countless other dogs get adopted. Healthy, spayed, and showing friendly signals around other dogs, she's still waiting for anyone to visit the shelter with their family for a meet-and-greet and possibly give her a home.
   

3. Cobb County Library Expands Popular Instrument Lending Program with Ukulele Donation (cobbcountycourier.com) — Marietta library branches are expanding their popular ukulele lending and meetup options, giving residents more chances to borrow instruments and join free group sessions. New ukuleles at Switzer and Gritters support regular meetings of the Sensational Marietta Ukulele Group at Sewell Mill, Gritters, and Switzer, open to anyone with a Cobb library card.
   

4. 'My name is Monkie, and I'm in need of a loving home!' (cobbcountycourier.com) — If you're looking to adopt in Marietta, Cobb County Animal Services has a one-year-old red and white Shiba Inu named Monkie waiting for a home. The shelter on Al Bishop Drive explains that appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome, with special rules for owner surrenders and lost or stray pets.
