Pedestrian Killed on South Cobb Drive in Marietta

COBB COUNTY, GA -- A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday morning near the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Booth Road in Marietta.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was reportedly walking along the roadway around 7 am when struck by a vehicle, according to WTVM.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. No details yet as to whether the driver will be charged, or what caused the accident.

South Cobb Drive’s northbound lanes were closed but southbound lanes remained open.
