Police Identify Man Found Shot To Death On Sidewalk
The 51-year-old was found dead Oct. 19 from an apparent gunshot wound at the intersection of Austell Road at Dorothy Drive SW in Marietta.
MARIETTA, GA -- Cobb police have released the identity of the male who was found dead from a gunshot wound last week in Marietta.
Rogelio Gonzalez Chairez, 51, of Marietta, has been identified as the man who was found dead on the sidewalk near the intersection of Austell Road at Dorothy Drive SW.
Officers got the call of the discovery around 9:03 p.m. Oct. 19, and Chairez's body was turned over to the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office to determine a cause and manner of death.

The case remains active, and investigators continue to ask anyone with information to contact Cobb police at 770-499-3945.
