Police: Juveniles Who Shot Marietta Cop Are Gang Members
Marietta police officer Scott Davis was shot early Sunday morning while investigating a report of a stolen vehicle.

MARIETTA, GA — Police say the juveniles who shot a Marietta officer early Sunday morning are gang members.
Officer Scott Davis was shot around 4:30 Sunday morning at the Gallery Apartments at 720 Franklin Gateway. Davis was one of three officers responding to a stolen vehicle call when they found two suspects inside the reported stolen vehicle.
Police said one of the suspects opened fire, and struck Davis. One of the suspects was also hit.

Davis is recovering at Kennestone Hospital. The suspect is also recovering.
On Monday, police said the juveniles were members of the Blood Gang. They will be charged with violation of the Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, as well as aggravated assault on a police officer, entering auto, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and theft by receiving.

Police also recovered two guns at the crime scene and one of the guns has been reported as stolen.
The suspects' names are not being released.
