Nation’s leader in neuroscience-driven treatment of addiction, eating disorders hires Elizabeth Edelman

RiverMend Health is pleased to announce and welcome Elizabeth “Betsy” Edelman Esq. as General Counsel and Compliance and Privacy Officer. “Betsy’s background spans a broad spectrum of legal areas and she has extensive experience,” said Monica Demitor, Chief Executive Officer RiverMend Health. “Her expertise is a great match for RiverMend’s business and growth agenda. I am delighted to her join our RiverMend Health team.”

Ms. Edelman’s responsibilities cover RiverMend Health’s entire portfolio of brands including the prestigious Bluff Plantation, Malibu Beach Recovery Center and the Rosewood Center for Eating Disorders among a host of specialty residential and outpatient addiction and eating disorders treatment facilities throughout the United States

Ms. Edelman brings more than 25 years of corporate legal and compliance experience. Prior to joining RiverMend Health family of companies, Ms. Edelman served as Deputy General Counsel and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer with CAN Capital, a working capital provider.

Previously, Ms. Edelman was General Counsel for Swett & Crawford, an international wholesale underwriter and insurance broker and General Counsel for RBC Bank’s United States retail banking operations. Ms. Edelman is a graduate of the Emory University School of Law and Michigan State University. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association.
