Sterling Risk Advisors Promotes Matt Carey to Managing Director

Sterling Risk Advisors has promoted Matt Carey to Managing Director. Carey joined Sterling Risk Advisors in 2013 as a client executive. He serves in the construction, real estate, hospitality and manufacturing practices, assisting clients with coverage interpretation and claims handling experience. Sterling Risk Advisors is a full-service Atlanta-based risk management and insurance brokerage firm

Carey’s skills in risk management settings include:

• Specializing in technical aspects of insurance coverage
• Dealing with coverage interpretation and claims handling
• Providing advice and consultation to clients regarding their risk management techniques, especially in the risk transfer arena

Before joining Sterling, Carey was an account executive with Johnson & Bryan. Prior to that he worked as a senior account manager for Wells Fargo Insurance and as a field property adjuster for Crawford and Company. He is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) and is a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). He is pursuing his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Carey received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Georgia Southern University. He lives in Marietta with his wife and daughter.
