Search Continues For Armed Robbery Suspect

MARIETTA, GA — Cobb police teams are continuing to search for an armed robbery suspect that was seen Tuesday morning with an assault weapon.

Around 8:40 am, Osborne High School, which is near the area where police were searching, was locked down, a lockdown that was lifted later in the afternoon.

Here is a message from the school's website:

At approximately 8:20 this morning, August 30, 2016, Osborne’s campus police officers were notified that the Cobb County Police Department was in pursuit of a suspect in the local community near Osborne High School. A CODE YELLOW status was declared immediately to ensure the safety of our staff and students. We moved to CODE GREEN normal operating procedures at 1:40 pm when the Cobb County Police Department gave us the ALL CLEAR.

The search ended Tuesday afternoon with the suspect still at large.
