Taqueria Tsunami Opens Second Location

Taqueria Tsunami opened on Friday, Nov. 16 in Marietta Square. This marks the second location of the new concept, following the original Buckhead restaurant. 

The Latin-Asian Kitchen, located at 70 South Park Square, will offer fusion tacos, sangrias and a variety of menu items.

“We have worked really hard on this location and are excited to bring our unique flavors to the Marietta Square community,” Bob Pressley, General Manager of Taqueria Tsunami, said. “I have been in Marietta for the past 23 years, and I know that this location is perfect for our new concept.”

Taqueria Tsunami has revamped the former motif of , incorporating Latin and Asian elements into the design with bright colors and a contemporary feel to compliment the lively atmosphere. The Marietta location features seating for over 90 guests, two flat screen TVs and free WiFi.

Twelve signature tacos are the focus fare on Taqueria Tsunami’s menu including the Shrimp Tempura Taco, which is topped with Asian Slaw, cilantro and a hoisin-lime aioli, and the Asada Zing Taco made with Bulgogi marinated steak, shitake mushrooms, lettuce and soy-sesame vinaigrette. The tacos are served on all natural, preservative free tortillas made locally.

Among the appetizers, bowls, quesadillas and salads are Cilantro Hummus, made from scratch and topped with chili peppers; Avocado Cilantro Egg Rolls; Edamame sprinkled with chili salt and lime; Shanghai Shrimp Salad, made with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, avocado, roasted corn and cilantro; Far East Rice Bowl with edamame, carrots, green onion, tomatoes and cucumber salad; Kogi Short Rib Quesadillas grilled with onions and cheese; Apple and Asian Pear Empanada Pie and Smore’s Egg Rolls. 

A portion of the sales from select tacos will support tsunami relief efforts and victims of natural disasters locally in Atlanta.

Taqueria Tsunami Marietta will be open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
