Two Men Charged In KSU Student's Sexual Assault

An Acworth man has been charged, and a Marietta man is a suspect in another incident that happened in March at a student apartment complex.

MARIETTA, GA -- Two men have been charged in the sexual assault of a Kennesaw State student that happened back in November.

One of the men charged is also accused in a separate, March incident.

Tyree Robert Mew, 23, of Marietta, was arrested on Friday, while Romelo Alfred Lewis, 21, of Acworth, was arrested on Saturday, reports the AJC.

The victim said both men took turns assaulting her at her home about one-half mile from the KSU campus on Nov. 14. She told police she was place on a couch and blacked out, only regaining consciousness several hours later.

Mew has been identified as a suspect in another incident on March 28, when another KSU student told police she was raped at the U Pointe Kennesaw student apartments near Marietta.

Mew has been charged with two counts of rape and two counts of aggravated sodomy, while Lewis is facing one count each of rape and aggravated sodomy. Both are being held without bond at the Cobb County jail.
