WellStar, Cancer Society Unveil Cancer Resource Center
A special kiosk at WellStar Kennestone Hospital focused on helping cancer victims tops The 5 Things today.

1. WellStar Health System and the American Cancer Society on Monday cut the ribbon on the new Cancer Resource Center, a kiosk within Kennestone Hospital designed to help cancer sufferers and their caregivers.
The kiosk will be staffed by trained volunteers who will reach out to cancer patients, their families and other caregivers to see how they can help. The volunteers will connect them with various resources, including the American Cancer Society, or to other external resources designed to meet the needs of cancer patients. They can also help them access services such as wigs for chemotherapy patients or financial assistance.

2. The Cobb County Department of Transportation will have a public information open house tonight to allow residents to view a proposed project at the intersection of South Cobb Drive and Austell Road. The open house, which will run from 5 to 7 p.m., will not include a formal presentation but will show plans and maps of the proposal. The open house will be at , 1528 Austell Road.
