WellStar Volunteers Present $300K to Foundation

The WellStar Kennestone Hospital Volunteer Board recently presented the WellStar Foundation with a check for $300,000.

“Thanks to the many hours given by the dedicated volunteers at WellStar Kennestone Hospital, proceeds from both gift shops will make a difference in the lives of patients and their families,” said Felicia Wagner, director of Foundation operations. “WellStar is so fortunate to have volunteers that contribute not only their time but their financial resources towards providing a world-class experience to our patients.”

The volunteers make an annual donation to WellStar Foundation for facility enhancements to WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center campus or improved offerings to better serve the community.

The volunteers raise funds from a variety of sources including hosting specialty sales throughout the year, operating the gift shops on a daily basis and through personal donations.

WellStar Foundation raises community support and funds to help accomplish WellStar Health System’s mission to create and deliver high quality hospital, physician and other healthcare-related services that improve the health and well-being of the individuals and communities WellStar serves.
