George Walton Academy Student Named National Merit Scholarship Winner

Glenn A. Jacoby of Social Circle has received a $2,500 college scholarship from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. 

Jacoby, who attends George Walton Academy and plans to study medicine, was chosen from more than 15,000 finalists in the2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. According to a news release announcing the winners, those selected have been "judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college studies."
