• Obituary and funeral service: Lennox E. Byers, of Monroe (monroelocal.org) — Monroe residents are mourning the passing of Lennox E. Byers, whose family has deep roots in the Monroe community. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Truth Chapel in Loganville, with friends and family invited to pay their respects and share condolences online or by sending flowers.
