ID Fraud Leaves Peachtree Corners Victim With $4,000 in Charges

A Peachtree Corners woman told police nearly $4,000 in charges were fraudulently made by suspect(s) who stole her identity.
According to the Gwinnett Police incident report dated Jan. 30, the Spalding Mill Place resident said someone used her Nordstrom Visa card information to make purchases of $1,591.15 in Pennsylvania and $2,049.71 in New York.

Additionally, on the same date of those purchases (Dec. 23, 2014), someone also used her personal informaton to open a Kohl’s account and charge $315.92 in merchandise.
The woman told police she hasn’t given anyone her personal information and didn’t know how the suspect(s) could have gotten it. She provided police with statements showing the charges.
