Jewelry, Cash Stolen in Hotel Room Burglary

Someone broke into a room last weekend at a Peachtree Corners hotel and stole cash, jewelry and credit cards, according to a Gwinnett Police incident report.

A woman who was staying at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on March 14 told police she left for the evening and found her belongings disturbed after she returned.

According to the incident report, the woman left the hotel around 6 p.m. and returned around 10:15 p.m.

In the room, she noticed her suitcase had been moved, which alerted she that someone had been in the room. She went to her purse and found her wallet had been stolen. Total valued of the items stolen was $1,410, including two necklaces and $200 in cash.

The officer wrote in the report there was damage on the door indicating it was pried open.
