Man Charged With Killing Baby Arrested At Airport
The 3-month-old girl, Adriana Hamilton, appears to have died from injuries suffered at the Peachtree Corners apartment where she lived.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — A man accused of killing his 3-month-old daughter in Gwinnett County was arrested at the airport on Saturday.
The FBI said agents arrested Charles Hamilton, 44, of Atlanta, after he stepped off of a Delta flight from the Dominican Republic. Earlier in the week, Hamilton's SUV had been located at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.
The FBI said Hamilton will be returned to Gwinnett County, where he will face murder, cruelty to children and aggravated assault charges in the death of Adriana Hamilton.

Adriana was brought to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite on Saturday, Sept. 9, after police were called to the apartment in Peachtree Corners where she lived. But hospital staff noticed other injuries, including fractured ribs and bleeding from her brain.

The case was assigned to a Gwinnett County Police detective and it was determined that the injuries happened while the child was in her father's custody, said police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera. Hamilton was reportedly at the apartment caring for her on Sept. 9 while the baby's mother went to a laundromat to wash clothes.
