Police Seek 2 in Connection with Attack, Robbery at PTC Apartments

Gwinnett Police are looking for a man and woman in connection with a vicious attack and robbery of a Peachtree Corners man earlier this month.

Kenneth Starks, 25, and Candice Reynolds, 23, are wanted for the alleged July 6 attack at the Valencia Park Apartments in Peachtree Corners, police said in a news release.

Police public information officer Cpl. Deon Washington said in the release that officers responded to a call about the incident at around 10:50 p.m. The victim told police he met with Reynolds -- who was identified in a photo lineup -- at the complex when he was attacked from behind by a male.

The victim was severely beaten and bound by rope, police said, and had several items stolen, including his wallet, money and royal blue 2001 Chevrolet Suburban.

Washington said a neighbor reported seeing Reynolds with a black male a few hours before the incident, describing him as having a tattoo of a cross on his neck. The description matched Starks, Washington said.

The victim identified Reynolds in the photographic lineup, but was unable to get a good look at the man who attacked him from behind. Reynolds was seen on video surveillance while using the victim’s stolen credit card at a Pleasant Hill Road gas station the morning after the reported attack, police said.

Washington said Reynolds has active arrest warrants for robbery in Gwinnett, and FTC fraud charges are forthcoming.

Starks is wanted out of Crisp County for probation violation.
