Suspect In Cobb Home Intrusion At Large, Police Say
Police are asking for the public's help after they say a suspect fled the scene of an intrusion at a Powder Springs home.
POWDER SPRINGS, GA — Police are asking for the public's assistance in searching for a suspect accused of intruding at a Marietta Street home early Friday morning.
Officers from Powders Springs Police and other agencies responded to the home around 3:30 a.m. after a 911 call reported the suspected intrusion, police said.
After a perimeter was set up, the Cobb County Police SWAT team entered the home. Police said all residents inside were found safe.

However, police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. A description was not publicly shared.
Powder Springs Police is investigating the case in partnership with CCPD.

Officers asked residents near Marietta Street to review home surveillance video footage from recent days and Thursday night.
"If you observe any suspicious individuals or activity, please contact law enforcement. Even information that may seem minor could be valuable to the investigation.The Powder Springs Police Department remains fully committed to the safety and well-being of everyone who lives, works and visits our community. Powder Springs continues to be one of the safest cities in Cobb County, and we will continue working diligently to keep it that way," Powder Springs Deputy Chief Louis Defense said in a news release.
