ROSWELL, GA -- It’s duck season in Roswell and next month, more than 1,000 plastic ducks will race down Big Creek along Oxbo Road as a fundraising effort for a local organization.
The Great Duck Race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 and will benefit Keep Roswell Beautiful.
Mayor Jere Wood and members of the City Council will send the ducks downstream around 12:30 p.m. Returning master emcee Morgan Rodgers, director of Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic, and Cultural Affairs, will give a colorful play-by-play as the ducks are cheered to the finish line. First and second place ducks win a cash prize.
