30 Marijuana Plants Found Inside Roswell Apartment
A woman at the house said her boyfriend did not allow her to open the door to the closet where the plants were stored.

ROSWELL, GA — More than two dozen marijuana plants were seized by police earlier this week at a Roswell apartment unit, an incident report released by the Police Department states. Two officers were dispatched around 9 p.m. Monday, April 2 to Seven Pines apartments at 2500 Treeridge Parkway due to a complaint of marijuana odor and noise.
The officers arrived and met with a woman who answered the door. The officers informed the woman why they were on her doorstep, but she told officers she was unaware of any noise coming from her apartment since she and her son were the only ones at the house.
According to the incident report, the officer caught a whiff of marijuana and asked about the smell. The resident said she "had just smoked a little bit today, but not a lot."

The woman was asked to produce some form of identification and when she returned with her ID, she began to cry and told police she believed her boyfriend "set her up." Police asked if there was any marijuana inside the home, and the woman said there was "only a little bit."
Police were allowed inside the the house and they were provided with a small amount of marijuana by the woman. When she supplied that amount to an officer, she began shaking and panicking again, repeating that her boyfriend, later identified as 26-year-old O'Brian R. Perkins, "set her up." She eventually led officers to a hallway closet where about 30 marijuana plants with machines connected to the stands were stored.

"She stated that Perkins does not allow her to open the door, but she knew that they were in there," according to the report.
Officers searched the home and found two firearms — a GLOCK 17 pistol and Remington 870 pump action shotgun — inside a bedroom closet. Perkins eventually returned to the house, and he was informed about the discovery police made inside the residence.
"He refused to state who he was and was then informed by us that we have been in his house and seen (sic) the marijuana plants," the report states. "He remained with a confused look on his face as if he did not know what we were talking about."
Perkins was subsequently taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was booked into the Fulton County Jail on April 3 and released a day later.
