Roswell detectives have made a second arrest in connection to the shooting death of a man at a hotel late last week.
With the help of U.S. Marshals, police apprehended Atlanta resident Mitchel Gibbs, 44, without incident in College Park early Tuesday morning, Roswell police spokesperson Zachary Frommer said.

This latest arrest comes two days after Roswell police, with the help of the Cobb County Police Department, arrested David Spates, 27, of Marietta Sunday morning.
Roswell detectives’ investigation led them to the suspect at a location off Roswell Road in Cobb County where SWAT ”made the arrest without incident,” Frommer stated.
Both Spates and Gibbs are charged with murder in the shooting death of Anthony B. Leftenant, 30, of Alpharetta.
Leftenant was killed around 7:40 p.m. July 3 following an argument between three men at Atlanta Hotel, which is located at 9995 Old Dogwood Road.
The argument escalated and “one male was shot outside of a room,” Frommer previously told Patch.
Frommer, who said Leftenant died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, added the incident appears to be “drug-related,” and investigators continue to work on identifying any remaining suspects or witnesses.
