Donald J. Horton, who won the five-way Nov. 3 municipal election, was sworn into office during Monday’s Roswell City Council meeting.

Horton succeeds Dr. Betty Price, who vacated the seat so she could run for the State House District 48 seat.

Horton won last Tuesday’s election with nearly 65 percent of the vote. He faced off against fellow challengers Ricky Spencer (Roswell’s former fire chief), Kay Howell, Shayne Gray and Nate Porter.
