enAble of Georgia Receives $15,000 Grant From The UPS Foundation

The grant will help the organization purchase two smart boards and 32 tablets for the Roswell Day Services Program.

ROSWELL, GA -- enAble of Georgia, Inc. received a $15,000 grant from the UPS Foundation, which drives global and corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS.

The grant will be used towards updated technology for the Roswell Day Services Program. The grant will allow enAble of Georgia to purchase two smart boards and 32 tablets for the support of the individuals enAble serves and Medicaid documentation.

enAble of Georgia was founded in 1979 by a group of concerned parents unsure of the future of their adult aged children with developmental disabilities after high school. enAble currently supports 120 individuals in Fulton County with residential, day services and supported employment programs.

“This grant allows enAble of Georgia to increase the number of people with developmental disabilities receiving services and helps make competitive employment a reality for so many people. We are very grateful for the support and resources of UPS and the UPS Foundation”, said Whitney Fuchs, CEO of enAble of Georgia.

Established in 1951 and based in Atlanta, Ga., The UPS Foundation identifies specific areas where its backing clearly impacts social issues. UPS volunteers have partnered with enAble of Georgia for almost twenty years, helping with yard work, spring cleaning, and social events. The UPS dedication to enAble is immeasurable and priceless. enAble has been privileged to have had two managers from UPS on the Board of Directors in the past and they have worked tirelessly at coordinating volunteer events for our houses and leading us to grant opportunities. enAble of Georgia is honored to have the support of UPS, its volunteers, and the UPS Foundation.
