Garden Club Funds New Trees at Adult Aquatic Center

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Garden Club has partnered with the city of Roswell to provide funding for the installation of new trees at the Roswell Adult Aquatic Center.

The initiative is part of the city’s Tree Planting Partnership Program, which is designed to provide financial support to organizations who want to enhance and beautify Roswell by increasing its tree canopy and density.

The program is open to church groups, scout troops, civic organizations, schools and businesses who are interested in partnering with the city to provide funding and support for tree planting, right-of-way beautification projects, storm damage assistance projects and landscaping on public properties.

The Roswell Garden Club is a local, non-profit that for 64 years has dedicated itself for the beautification and preservation of Roswell by logging thousands of hours to garden and community projects in the city.

Since the program started in July 2001, Roswell has partnered with numerous organizations to plant 816 hardwood trees, 4,313 other trees, shrubs and flowering plants. It has already invested $50,951 in this innovative program, and enjoys partner project support of more than 6,707 volunteer hours.
