Igleheart Resigns From Roswell City Council
Kent Igleheart submitted his resignation Tuesday evening.
ROSWELL, GA -- Kent Igleheart, the Roswell leader charged with child sex crimes, has submitted his resignation to the City Council.
City spokesperson Julie Brechbill confirmed to Patch that the council formally accepted Igleheart's resignation from the Post 4 seat during Tuesday's called meeting.
Igleheart was arrested Oct. 20 by DeKalb County police and charged with sexual exploitation of children, enticing a child for indecent purposes and furnishing alcohol to a minor following a sting operation carried out at Northlake Mall.

According to police, Igleheart is accused engaging in inappropriate sexual activity with a 17-year-old female juvenile. The former councilman, according to DeKalb police, allegedly initiated an online relationship with the victim when she was about 13 years old.
Igleheart, who bonded out of DeKalb County Jail on Monday, represented Post 4 on the Roswell council. He was first elected in 2001, and his current term would have ended in December 2017.
