New Executive Pastry Chef Joins Table & Main, Osteria Mattone

Kelly Lovett will also oversee menu curation for R.O. Hospitality's third concept, Coalition Food and Beverage.

ROSWELL, GA -- Roswell-based R.O. Hospitality has brought on a new face to serve as executive pastry chef for its popular restaurants.

Kelly Lovett, a Georgia native, brings more than a decade of baking experience to Roswell, and will oversee and manage the pastry programs at Table & Main and Osteria Mattone, as well as assist in menu curation for the group’s third concept, Coalition Food and Beverage.

Raised in a part Italian, part French family, Lovett began her professional culinary career at age 19. In 2006, she graduated from Le Cordon Bleu and shortly after began honing her baking skills under Anne Quatrano of Atlanta’s Bacchanalia. Lovett then served as opening pastry chef of Seven Lamps, where her talent and out-of-the-box approach received recognition from Where Atlanta and Epicure Magazine, both naming her one of the city Top Pastry Chefs.

As R.O. Hospitality's executive pastry chef, Lovett said she looks forward to overseeing and managing the pastry programs at Table & Main, Osteria Mattone, and the highly anticipated Coalition Food and Beverage, which is expected to open in Alpharetta this summer.

“We’ve always placed a big emphasis on our pastry program, whether that means sweet desserts or other house baked items," said Owner & Operator Ryan Pernice. "Chef Lovett’s tasting blew us away with every bite, and, just as crucially, we immediately felt that she fit our culture and vision for where our organization is headed.”

Lovett had a chance to train on-site with R.O.’s previous pastry chef Vivian Lee, who will officially step down in May to pursue creative passions outside of the restaurant industry.

“Vivian has been such a tremendous talent and friend," Pernice added. "We wish her the best as she steps out of the kitchen."
