Pastis Roswell Welcomes Local Author Elizabeth Cooke
Grand prize winner of the 2016 Paris Book Festival signs books at French bistro on Canton Street in historic Roswell

Wednesday, July 20, 6 PM, Elizabeth Cooke, an award-winning local author will celebrate her new book, The Hotel Marcel Dining Club, and her love of Paris at the wonderful French restaurant, Pastis Roswell. She will offer complimentary signed copies of her book to all guests that evening.
The Hotel Marcel Dining Club shows Paris in all its glory and at its most delicious with “A Baker’s Dozen Recipes for the Emotions” included at the end of the book. In an excerpt from Chapter 26 of The Hotel Marcel Dining Club, the author pays tribute to her beloved city after the terrorist attack:

Paris, the city of romance is challenged again, but the romance, the delight in it, is not forgotten. Never! This is the author’s seventh book in a romantic series about a small hotel in Paris, continuing her celebration of her lifelong passion for the City of Light. The first book in the series won first prize for General Fiction in the 2015 Paris Book Festival. The sixth book in the series, “Intrigue at a Small Hotel,” won that same category in this year’s festival, as well as the overall grand prize.
Elizabeth Cooke lived in the City of Light in the 1950s and has returned as often as possible. While she lived there, she attended a 6-week, daily cooking class at The Cordon Bleu, where she learned “certain basic rules of cooking that have stayed with me.” She is a graduate of Vassar College and The Sorbonne in Paris.
