• Roswell Area Park Pond Improvements Near Completion (roswellconnections.com) — Roswell Area Park Pond's $3.1 million upgrade is about 90% complete, with substantial completion expected by Sept. 8 and a ribbon cutting set for Sept. 10. The project strengthens stormwater infrastructure, restores habitat, and improves trails, though fishing will remain closed until fish are restocked, likely into late summer or fall 2027.
   

• Richard "Rich" Ptacin (chattanoogan.com) — Roswell is mourning Richard "Rich" Ptacin, an 88-year-old resident remembered for his deep Catholic faith, love of music, and years singing with the Villagers Chorus at St. George's Village. Survived by his wife Sheila, four children, and seven grandchildren, he will be honored with a funeral Mass and reception at St. Jude Church in Chattanooga.
